Cadence

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Cadence is built to be private by default. The free tier works entirely on your device with no account and no data sent anywhere. This policy explains what changes when you use optional features like Cadence Pro (sync and shared groups) and photo attachments.

Free tier — on-device only

Your tasks, completion history, notes, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. No account is required, and this data is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Cadence Pro — sync & groups

If you sign in and subscribe to Cadence Pro, the following is stored on our backend (hosted by Supabase) so it can sync across your devices and be shared with groups you create or join:

Access to your data is enforced per-user at the database level: you can only read and write your own rows (and the rows of groups you belong to).

Photos

Photos you attach to a completion are stored in your own private iCloud (CloudKit) account — not on our servers. We store only a reference so the app can display them on your devices.

What we don't do

Service providers

Data retention & deletion

You can delete tasks at any time in the app. To delete your account and all associated synced data, email us at the address below and we'll remove it. Deleting the app removes the on-device (free-tier) data; photos can be removed from your iCloud account.

Children

Cadence is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
